Yoyo is off to have his teeth done on Tuesday. I've a feeling a few will be pulled out :err: I saw it being done when I did my work experience years ago, it was pretty gruesome!! I have no idea about aftercare though, has anyone any experience of this? |

I think they get put on antibiotics with teeth work as they can be open to infection afterwards. I just bought Archie some toothpaste today as I realise his aren't pearly white anymore  Hope Yoyo does ok after the op. It might be an idea to have some soft food for him in the days after the op? |

Do you think it would be worth whizzing his Chappie up in the blender with a bit of gravy to make it a bit more "soupy" and tempting? He's a nervous eater at the best of times, I don't think he's going to be wanting to eat much for a while after his teeth have been done. |

If he's having the extraction done Laura then yes a soft diet for a couple of days will be what the vet reccommends usually.Do you have any arnica to give him? Would have been better t have started it earlier but it does help with bruising. |

There can be a bit of pain especially if Yoyo's canines are inolved. When one of Maya's fangs were removed she had some pain, but it was an otherwise healthy tooth that was broken during a play accident. If Yoyo's teeth are already loose due to gum disease or old age there may be less pain, but a soft diet is a good idea afterwards, I hope he's better soon! |

It happens all the time Laura! We had a chap turn up at work, very confidently sat down without saying anything in the waiting room. I started to silently panic as he wasn't booked in so pulled his file out - he'd turned up a whole month early! He didn't wait. |

Well he's there  I had to sign a waiver, and they did warn me because of his age there may be a risk under the anaesthetic. I knew that anyway really, but hearing from the vet made it very real. Now I'm all worried :err: |

He is now! He's still very sleepy and a bit wobbly and he has a bad cough due to the tube, but he's had a drink of water, a little bit of milk and some Naturediet Chicken Soup :yippee: He had all his little bottom front toofs out, the vet said he may have a tendency to stick his tongue out now  The rest are all pearly white :yay: AND it was less that £100 :phew: £92.50 to be precise! :yikes: He's off to his bed that Summer has made comfy and cosy for him, to sleep off his anaesthetic :) |
