I heard about Dermacton on Many Tears and how it really helped with the many puppy farm Westies with bad skin they get in, so decided to get some and try it on Rascal as he has a dust allergy and had scratched his chin so much the hair on the end about 2cm by 1.5cm fell out!

Luckily he hadn't yet got sore from the scratching and within a day of using the cream he stopped scratching it :ok: , it took about two weeks for the hairs to start growing back, grey :o  .

I have an old Westie that came into rescue. His skin infection had been left untreated for so long he was not in a good state to be honest.

This was duly cleared up but I have to really keep on top of this and I have been using the Dermacton shampoo bar. Bit whiffy but it certainly does the trick.
His bathing has now been cut from twice weekly to on fortnightly and I have just taken delivery of the Dermacton spray to see if I can reduce the bathing down even more during the winter months.

Up until recently I had been using Malaseb but wanted to try an alternative. This product was recommended to me and I thought I'd not be losing much by just giving it a go. Glad I did.... :stroke:
