Diplomachine - Saturday, Nov 24th?
Saturday, December 15th - SR Tournament (More details to follow)

Also, I'm posting a poll as to the type of League people want to get involved with and we might be running. I'd like to find out what kind of tournaments and league/open play players want.

Some of the ideas I've been batting around:
Diplomachine - as seen from Coal and Claw but updated rules
Escalation League - Week 1: Models from Prime, Primal, and Escalation only. Week 2: Models from Apotheosis, Superiority, and Evolution added. Week 3: Models from Legends, Forces Books, and Metamorphosis added. Week 4: Models from Wrath, Domination, Colossals, and Gargantuans.
Non-SR Tournaments - Highlander, MM/TC, etc

And so forth.

I think I definitely will be running an Escalation style league in Jan/Feb in addition to whatever else I normally run. I'm going to cap it to 4-6 players only, one faction slots. No Minions allowed, I will have to post an alternative schedule for Mercenaries and Retribution. If interested, please advise in a response below so I can gauge how many players I should allow.

Also, please note below how many Leagues you want in a given year (4 weeks length) and how many events per month.

EDIT: You can vote multiple items, in case you didn't pick that up.

I'm just getting settled in enough to come and check out the store and community but threw in my votes anyways :) I do plan to stop by this Saturday and socialize a bit. Love that this looks like a pretty active area for games. Just wish I was a little closer lol.

i actually kind of enjoy glorious deeds. it's really unbalanced, and kind of game breaky for some factions, but it also gives you reasons to try silly things. i am curious about most of them though. modelling and terrain aren't really my interest.

@faradon, saturday may be a bad day to start, a good chunk of the WM community may be at area 51 for foodmachine tomorrow. (though come to that!)

Edit: journeyman can die in a fire if i have to bring kaelyssa.

It'd be open for other casters, since these would be 4 week long journeymen leagues. If we get a sudden influx of new players, then I might cordon it off so it's either players playing a new faction under a new mechanic (fury vs focus) and new players, in which case I would implement the standard battle boxes.

However, just for you, you will forever be required to play Kaelyssa in a Journeyman. :D

I have no interest in the Journeyman stuff, but it's been great for turnout so I'd encourage it.

Glorious Deeds has potential; it's just wrecked by knowing the deeds ahead of time and rewarding horrible gameplay. A completely blind format where all achievements are mentioned when the event starts could be a blast. You might even keep some hidden and have them unlocked as the event progresses. The reward for tanking a multiplayer game was the worst, so the whole thing could be better by ditching 3 or 4-player games and keeping timed turns.

We have to test Diplomachine at least once before the next C&C rolls around.

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

although if it's a bunch of new players, ret can feel overwhelming and mean. not in terms of feats, but ossyan making the manticore charge 11 inches can feel mean. vyros saying "screw you, i'm a weapon master in a battle box" and garryth doing the same. kae is the only one who doesn't seem overtly mean to people who are just trying the game out for the first time, or haven't played many games yet. i dunno, i'll decide once rules are finalized.

also: HA somebody else doesn't mind glorious deeds. actually blind deeds does sound pretty great. as in, you only learn them after you've chosen your list for that specific game, and having shifting deeds per game might make that a lot more plausible in a tournament/league format.

diplo needs things, but it's still fun.

Just so everyone knows, no Diplomachine this Saturday. I don't have the time to set it up with a map and I would need to do Pre-reg a few weeks in advance.
