It ended with each of us having one remaining infantry model, one remaining jack and one caster...great slugfest between eVlad and Rasheth.

My final assassination run failed when spirit/mind got knocked off my sentry and Vlad just laughed with a behemoth in charge range of Rasheth. Great ame against Karl, really enjoyed the ebb and flow.

...that fucking great bear never died though!!!!'
I do not like planning ahead. I prefer the perfect move for the moment. The rest is up to my dice.

Hey Nick, let me know if you want a rematch with my Haley list. I'm curious as to how the addition of the Aspis changes how your list performs.

Fucking great bear ... curses on you! A single remaining great bear withstood breath of corruption, two gator attacks, 2 rounds of nihilator pain, 2 rounds of a sentry beating on it, a slinger hitting him in the back, nothing missed, everything killed...yet I could not get that fucker off the board and out of my way! Gah!!!!! Such an epic mofo. I'll forever hate him!
I figured out the actual odds on that this morning. If you've got a three-sided die (which is what 5 or 6 on a d6 boils down to) and you roll eight of them you end up with 6,561 possible combinations. So the chance of getting a particular pattern of eight is 1 in 6,561. Obviously the pattern the Great Bear got was all 3s (5 or 6 on the 6 sider).

To put this in comparison, here are the odds of some random things happening:

Being the victim of some sort of violent crime in a year: 250 to 1
Fatally slipping in the shower in your lifetime: 2,232 to 1
Getting a hole in 1 on any shot: 5,000 to 1
Injuring yourself (meaningfully) while shaving: 6,585 to 1
Injuring yourself if using fireworks: 19,556 to 1
Being murdered in a year: 22,000 to 1

So... Yeah. You got screwed. But at least you didn't need stitches while shaving your head.

Fate was not working for me last night.

Now did you account for the saved corrosion role!? The blast failed to kill him, then his single non 5-6 roll was a 2 for corrosion, so it disappeared and he survived another sure death.

Fucking great bear.

Pfft. I'm not counting that. That's not a Tough check. Now you're just bitter ;-)

I need a ruling on just how tough a model can be. Was that level 1 tough? Karl and I didn't discuss it clearly before the match so I'm going to be taking this up on the PP forums and see if anyone will side with me on my pain. At level 1, there's no way he could have rolled that many tough checks.

Hahaha, brilliant.

That was a great game, and the dice didn't all go one way you know. I do remember a Drakhun that got knocked out by trip 6 on a breath of corruption, and a bronzeback surviving an Uhlan charge with Vald's feat and Hand of Fate.

But hey, tough. 33% of the time, it works every time.
