Softcore! - Area 51 Second Tuesday Warmachine/Hordes Tournament
Tuesday, January 8th - 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Area 51 will be hosting a Softcore Tournament on Tuesday, January 8. Registration is from 6-7 pm, with the tournament starting promptly at 7 pm. Entry fee is $5, and new people can play for free.

Softcore rules are as follows:

  • No painting requirements
  • 35 points, 5 minute turns
  • We will be beta testing a custom scenario that has been designed for hardcore events in 2013. I cannot post it online, but build a list with the assumption that the center of the table is very important to your survival :)
  • Awards for:
    • Vanquisher - At the end of a round if one player has more tournament points than any other player then that player wins the Vanquisher award and is declared champion.
    • Mage Hunter - During each round players that win via assassination victory must record the total number of enemy models that were destroyed or removed from play (RFP) when the assassination occurred – this is your Mage Hunter score for the round. At the end of the event the player with the lowest single Mage Hunter score wins the award.
    • Executioner - The player with the highest total opponent AP destroyed in the tournament wins the award. In the case of a tie, the player with more assassination victories wins the award. In the case of a second tie the player with the lowest Mage Hunter score wins the award.
