We are planning a major new section of to be unveiled soon on The Billaton, therefore the Admin team are working hard at creating some exciting new posts. One post we are asking for your help. We are attempting to create a map for fans showing where the bill has been filmed on location and to make the map as comprehensive as possible we are asking for your help. If you have seen the bill being filmed on location, please could you tell us where you have seen it and if possible which year (or even decade). Please either leave a reply to this post or contact the admin team via PM. Thanks very much for your help.

Here's the information of locations I have seen THE BILL filming at, episode titles and years: November 1999 - Filming for "Thug on the Tyne" in my hometown of Newcastle. Outside Chase Bar next to Newcastle Swing Bridge. Also at the top of Dog Leap Stairs. August 2000 - Filming for "Gentle Touch" in Pelham Road, Wimbledon, outside W.P.C. Polly Page's on-screen house. August 2002 - Filming for Superintendent Okaro's first episode outside the main entrance of Sun Hill. August 2003 - Filming for Episodes 164 and 165 outside Tandoori Mahal Indian restaurant in Abootsbury Road in Morden, Surrey. October 2003 - The live episode being filmed at the studios. November 2007 - Filming for "To Catch a Killer - Part 2" outside Sun Hill. April 2009 - Filming for "Conviction - Judgement Day" outside Kingston County Hall and "Die By the Sword" on the High Path Estate. June 2010 - The last episode being filmed at the studios. Many thanks for taking the time to write that out for us Paul. If when speaking to other fans of the show you can spread the word, the more comprehensive a map that we can produce the more useful the map will be. |

Thanks so much Paul, what would we do without you this is so much help. Can I ask was it in the centre of Elephant (by the shops/tube station etc..) or more in the estates?? Ahhh and Roehampton I did my teacher training at the uni there, just loved it, its a beautiful area (spotted the students bar in an episode or two) I've never come across the gateway though, is that a pub a housing estate? Google seems as much help as a chocolate teapot with this one I am afraid.

The scene at Roehampton Gateway was the house in "Balance of Power" where they found the dead dog. It was near the park. The flats that "Respect" was filming in at Elephant and Castle had the balconies facing out onto that big new building they were constructing. If you look on my YouTube channel, the video with the ambulance and the film trucks parked below was the location. If you continued up in a straight direction from I was standing, that roadway came out opposite Elephant and Castle tube station. |

We've started our map, its a work very much in progress so atm I've only added a few local places atm and aiming to spread it out and go country wide after our 2nd birthday celebrations, I've had a mad month at home so haven't been able to do as much as I would like but we've made a start on it and I've a few promises from people who worked on the show who will help me locate a few more places on the map. So hopefully the map will look a lot more complete soon. To see the map catch the thread: http://z7.invisionfree.com/The_Billaton/in...?showtopic=1480 |

Hi Sazzy, The North and South Wing entrances of St Hugh's used Merton College which can be found by typing the following in to the search box: Merton Campus, Morden Park, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5QX Then, if you look of 'Satellite', you should see the silver entrance and the red entrance (since painted blue) North Wing Entrance ![]() South Wing Entrance ![]()
