Dear Current Administrators of TBA, Stop erasing posts and topics. All of you. As a regular of TBA who loved it dearly, you have no idea how much it kills me that so many topics were left to the trash without member consent. And it wasn't just drama posts -some of you deleted any post that you didn't like, from roleplays, from anything...you deleted the entirety of A Very Potter Roleplay, as an example. As the creator of that roleplay, I realize it was somewhat of a failure, but the fact that it was erased without my consent is upsetting, and there were a few members who enjoyed it. I realize that there were some things posted on TBA that many of us are not proud of. Drama and the like. But even with that drama, TBA was so, so, important to me, and others. Yet, certain moderators have ignored this and have erased topic upon topic -that showed in the Administrator history. Even if you say it was only a single topic or a single post, the forum has been trimmed down. You say this is only "cleaning up the forum," but it's erasing our history, and I won't stand for it. To those of you who've returned to this forum only to remove things periodically, please stop. It simply isn't fair to those of us who are nostalgic and like looking back, and I know I don't speak of myself alone. With all due respect, LL.

Just as putting a hard candy coating around an M&M's chocolate core protects the insides, manufacturers say pouring a cap around a WPC center protects that core from what in the past has led to its demise. "Wood fiber is the root of all problems" in WPCs, says Peter Gallagher, manager of sales development at Polyone, a leading formulator of additives. It's what in the board (that) is susceptible to bleaching from the sun, decay from the wet, and consumption from the mold, while tannins in the wood flour can get out and stain the composite.

Capstock's advocates regularly say that adding this armor coat to the board significantly improves its long-term performance. What they bring up less often is that using capstock could make it possible to slack off a bit on what's insideCthere's no need to put in coloring there, for instance. Whether firms actually are cheapening the insides remains an open question that likely will take years of field testing to determine.

For its part, Trex maintains that the core of its capped decking, Transcend, is exactly the same as its uncapped Accents line. "We don't have the philosphy that you can junk up the core," says Kyle Lancaster, Trex's director of technical services.
