I am so bored with the Fedor vs Rogers angle...Yeah, Rogers is from Minnesota, but a punchers chance is what he has.... But looking at the rest of the card....there are some truly good fights on here... Strikeforce Middleweight Championship Jake Shields (No. 4 WW) vs. Jason “Mayhem” Miller Fedor Emelianenko (No. 1 HW, No. 3 PFP) vs. Brett Rogers (No. 6 HW) Gegard Mousasi (No. 7 LHW) vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou Antonio Silva vs. Fabricio Werdum Jeff Curran vs. Dustin Neace Roxanne Modafferi vs. Marloes Coenen Mark Miller vs. Deray Davis Shamar Bailey vs. John Kolosci Louis Taylor vs. Nate Moore Christian Uflacker vs. Jonatas Novaes Miller vs Shields is as good a fight as you will ever find...Mousasi vs Sokoudjou will be another great one. Free MMA on a Saturday night....can't complain!!

Fedor is wise not to fight Brock. He had his hands full with a very mediocre fighter. His ability to draw pay checks fighting crushed tomato cans will come to an end. These announcers tonight couldn't possibly have their noses any deeper. They were almost intolerable. |

That was a tough loss. It wasn't the steamroll many expected. Brett did a great job keeping it on the feet, but Fedor timed the knockout punch perfectly. As unbiased as I can be, I think Brett may have won that first round. I read that it was the first fight of Fedor's to go into the second round since 2000. Definitely impressed with his effort, and I'm excited to see him back in the gym preparing for the next one soon! Nobody Brett fights will be tougher than this one! |

Fedor has had a bunch of fights go past the first round. Probably around 10 fights since 2000 have gone past the first round. Last one was against Mark Coleman in 2006 |

Fedor = overrated. I think he should stay in Strikeforce...just for his own safety. There was abosolutely nothing that impresed me about Fedor on Saturday....He would be beaten by ANYONE from the top 5 currently fighting in the UFC...Even Mir could give him a run.

Good fight. Fedor had some nice ground work in the first round. I like to see the big guys doing some jiu-jitsu which is just one of the many reasons I like Fedor. I think the fight lived up to it's billing. Rogers only chance was a big punch or if the ref would have let him hold the cage even longer. I thought "Big John" must have had instructions from the promoters to keep Rogers in it. Then when he stopped the fight early, I guessed I was wrong. I know Fedor rocked him pretty good with that punch, but I thought Rogers was still defending himself. I also thought it was a little funny after the fight when they were asking both guys how the knock-out punch happened. I mean really, whenever a heavyweight starts bouncing around the center of the octagon with both hands dangling down by his waist, the fight isn't going last much longer. Normally I'm too cheap to buy pay-per-view, but I think I'd spend the money to see Lesnar-Fedor. Fedor is obviously better and I'd expect him to win, but Lesnar comes into every fight so well prepared for the opponent, that I think it would be a pretty even fight. |

Sharkey, I am not sure how you could say "Fedor is obviously better"....let's put it into perspective....How do you think Brock would have done against Rogers? After watching this fight, I am absolutely positive that ANY of the top 5 heavyweights in the UFC would absolutely beat Fedor....Fedor and his management know this...that is why they didn't except the muliti million dollar contract that was being offered to him...Fedor will NEVER fight in the UFC....just because he knows he will fail miserably. |

Xhockey, I'm not sure how you can say absolutely the top 5 hwys in the UFC would beat Fedor??? Fedor has beaten everyone that has been put in front of him and because his people don't accept Dana's control he's chicken?? That fight was stopped at the right time as; Fedor even stayed back a bit. Fedor beats Rogers everytime. How anyone cannot be impressed with a guy that small and unassumming destroying heavies is beyond me. Having said that, I think Brock beats Fedor by smothering him in the most boring fight in history... |

Because, usc09, I refuse to buy into the hype...What during the Fedor vs Rogers fight impresed you most....his awkward footwork, or his untechnical striking.... Name someone from Fedor 6 last fights that impresses you. If people would have watched the fight with the volume off this weekend, I am sure they would have come to the same conclusion. Comparing Fedor to Tiger Woods and Wayne Gretzky is absolutely ridiculous. Dana's control? He offered him a multi million dollar contract...guarenteed money...no win incentives. Do you think Strikeforce paid him that much? Let me answer that for you....absolutely not. |

What impressed me is that he won again with one of the biggest haymakers ever (untechnical?? maybe in your world, but effective).... I love how all the heavies that Fedor beats are worthless even though they were highly regarded when he fought them.... I've heard all the crap arguments that fit the anti-fedor people but the facts are he has beaten everyone put infront of him and he destroys anyone but Brock in the UFC and it's a better match-up with Brock if it's not in a boring ass cage. Sorry Hockey, I bought into the hype a long time ago when Randelman dropped Fedor on his head. Sorry to break it to you but Fedor doesn't need any money so why does he have to give into dana because it's a lot of money (for me and you I assume)? I don't know what they're looking for but I highly doubt it's because he's chicken. The UFC's getting boring with there has-been cards and Fedor's people know it (if you don't have Silva-GSP-Brock fighting nobody cares). |

OMG, I can not believe you are suggesting Randleman is a fighter....If you watched ANY of his last 6 fights..Nedkov,Whitehead, Kawamura, Rua, Focamis, or Nakamura,...watch any of these fights and then tell me about Randleman being a fighter....Nedkov and him got a 2 yellow cards and a finally a red for total and absolute inactivity during the last Sengoku. He threw a total of 5 punches in his last fight... Fedor has fought nobody....end of story.... As much as I dislike Dana, what was he supposed to do? He offered him a multi-million dollar contract and he turned it down? What a joke, what a coward. |

OMG!!! settle down, It has nothing to do with Randleman... it's what happened in that fight that I became a fan; the guy is dangerous... OK, Fedor has fought nobody (although far more than Brock)and dana's done everything possible because that's a number anyone should do anything for (like I said, I don't know what he's loooking for but likely that fight would be the biggest ever and dana makes out pretty well)... can't argue with end of story! Fedor keeps destroying heavies but until he fights a guy 150pds bigger named brock he's no one. The fight with Brock would suck anyway so I'm not sure what everyone here gets so wound up about. I haven't seen Overeem fight in a year or so, if/when this fight happens that will affect him significantly, people are forgetting that Fedor had some serious time off too, there are/will be cob webs to shake off. As for who is better, I wouldn't bet on the fight because I don't think either one has a hands down advantage... I think Overeem is an absolute machine, but he'd likely fail a steroid test if he fights any time in the real near future, I would put money on that. I'd pick AO in a unanimous decision I guess, and I'd pick either one by Sub over Lesnar. |

If Fedor fought someone 150 lbs heavier than him, they would weigh about 385 lb...??? are you indicating that you think Lesnar weighs 385 ? Brock is no one at this point, and people should really understand that he's 4-1, Fedor is 31-1, 32 fights and one loss due to a stoppage because of a cut- THAT DOESN'T JUST HAPPEN--- ITS STRAIGHT UP GUTS, WORK ETHIC AND GOD GIVEN TALENT!!! Brock would get sub'd by Alistair Overeem, or Fedor, neither of which we will probably ever see. Overeem is possible, but not very likely. Lesnar is an absolute beast, and would beat most HWT's out there, but you will see him lose in the near future, it will be JDS, in my opinion, but he's not as good as everyone gives him credit for. He will NEVER live up to the hype.

usc09- you OBVIOUSLY don't follow MMA either, because Fedor has fought WAAAAY tougher comp. then your beloved Brock... - Arlovski - Coleman (in his prime) - Randleman - Cro Cop(litteraly at the peak of his career) - Noguiera (in his prime) - Hunt Fedor has more wins against STIFF competition than Lesnar has fights. |
