P-415...is that the airsoft name? I was pretty sure that's a Heckler and Koch HK-416. Modified M-16. I'd love one of those. Not enough to sell my truck though. Those things are mad expensive. |

Ohh, it's the US made one...POF makes em! Now I see....P-415 and P-416. Here's the HK-416 I was talking about... ![]() Basically, the M-16 is one of very few automatic rifles to not use a piston. Because of that they're dirtier and need a little more attention to cleaning. Nothing too bad, but people do complain about them a lot...needlessly usually. Anyway, the P-415 and HK-416 are just M-16 rifles with the piston, so they are cleaner and a little more reliable. And cost twice as much. Tumble Weed, yep I do like guns, and have some training as a gunsmith. |

I suppose it depends how much you want to pay for convenience and peace of mind. It IS easier and more reliable, but I never had any problems. Honestly most M-16 malfunctions I have seen are from too much oil...Guys bathe them. They only need a slight film, just a wipe down. If you use a bunch, it just attracts dirt and grit and makes a paste. They're kickin butt day in and day out in the desert. So is the AK though, credit where it is due. I prefer the M16, but the AK style rifle isn't bad, just not my cup of tea. For the job it is designed to do, it's top shelf. The M16 is just a more capable platform. Look at it this way though. A good AK is $300, a good M16 is $900, it is no insult at all to say the one that costs 3 times more is more capable. |

the way i see it if there were a serious attack or something.. if it shoots and could stop someone from killin ya.. then it's good. but the expensive ones are niiiiice. i guess it is true 'ya get what ya pay for'. you would think that people would realize it would make a pastey mess some common sence is needed i gues. |

Me neither! Actually I wouldn't like to be shot in general, by anything. But let's say that ranks a little higher than a slingshot or a spitball. Depending on who the spitball came from *ahem* anyway though, for the job it was designed to do, the AK simply cannot be beat. Besides, $300 for the AK, $150 for 1000 bullets, there ya go! Instant zombie protection. |

Ohh nice! Let's see if I still know my stuff... Top down, we have... A Marlin, either in 22 Win Mag. or 17 HMR, not sure. 12 GA single shot, I am thinkin made in Brazil from the style. Ruger 10/22 Marlin 30-30, it's either a 30 AS or a 336 C, but I am guessin 30 AS and the scope needs to go Pistols, left to right... Ruger, 357 Magnum, not sure on the model. Either GP 101, GP 100, or Security Six Smith and Wesson Sigma, 9mm Unknown revolver...Really can't place it. Thinkin it's a 22 though. Colt 1911A1 in 45 ACP And another Ruger, but this ones a single action. Blackhawk or Single Six. I went to a gun show this weekend, got to see a bunch of cool stuff. I really wish I had my camera with me. Got to handle a Desert Eagle, which was pretty cool. Almost bought a Colt pistol. Ended up taking this home though. ![]() German 8mm Mauser from World War Two. Picked up a bunch of ammo for it too, good and cheap. Including some armor piercing and tracer for my emergency stash. |
