Alright everyone! Remember Lesson 1? when i told you that Hiragana is one of the main scripts that Japanese use? well I'm going to teach you!

Lesson 5 - Part One (The Hiragana Alphabet)

あ - (a) Pronounced as (ah)
い - (i) Pronounced as (e)
う - (u) Pronounced as (oo)
え - (e) Pronounced as (ee)
お - (o) Pronounced as (oh)

か - Ka
き - Ki
く - Ku
け - Ke
こ - Ko

な - Na
に - Ni
ぬ - Nu
ね - Ne
の - No

さ - Sa
し - Shi
す - Su
せ - Se
そ - So

た - Ta
ち - Chi
つ - Tsu
て - Te
と - To

は - Ha
ひ - Hi
ふ - Fu
へ - He
ほ - Ho

ま - Ma
み - Mi
む - Mu
め - Me
も - Mo

ら - Ra
り - Ri
る - Ru
れ - Re
ろ - Ro

や - Ya
ゆ - Yu
よ - Yo

ん - N
を - O

Lesson 5 - Part Two (Additional Hiragana)

There are specific Hiragana characters that can be changed or modified by adding a few symbols.

" - This is a symbol used at the end or on the right top corner of the Hiragana character.

が - Ga
ぎ - Gi
ぐ - Gu
げ - Ge
ご - Go

ざ - Za
じ - Zi
ず - Zu
ぜ - Ze
ぞ - Zo

ば - Ba
び - Bi
ぶ - Bu
べ - Be
ぼ - Bo

だ - Da
ぢ - Di
づ - Du
で - De
ど - Do

There is another symbol that is used which is º This symbol is used over the " Symbol for some of the " Hiragana Characters

ぱ - Pa
ぴ - Pi
ぷ - Pu
ぺ - Pe
ぽ - Po
