Hey phil
the last lesson is this monday coming 29 of march then we break for easter and holidays and return on the 19th of April

projects you currently need to be working on are:
10 drawings of House Hold items.

Beach House Design
- one floor plan
- one section
and one elevation

and drawing a building using perspective

If i am correct these are all due back on the first day back but I will email Mimi to confirm this.

Ladies and Gentlemen

I have just received an email from Mimi Kos after spending a minute decrypting it i got the information i was looking for.

-yes all 3 projects are DUE on THE 19TH OF APRIL

Mimi is looking for planning of your spaces e.g. public vs private areas of the house in the beach house design

And for Perspectives you have the choice of isometric axonometric 1 point or 2 point perspectives but only choose 1.

Thomas,

Yes, that is correct. Remember, for the Beach House interim submission, i will be looking at your spatial planning and ideas more than expecting final drawings- as you will have time to draw up the design properly once the design is resolved. The perspective of the house can be axonometric or isometric, which might be easier than a one point or two point perspective.

Regards,
Mimi

That is all.

how is your beach house coming along?

I havent even started Presentation Project 1 or 2 yet? This course is getting like a art class not residential drafting.

My beach house is going along smoothly,
I've just completed 1 and yes, to be able to draft you need to understand the basics of art (I studied art throughout high school).

Mate i disagree, ive been a drafter for 10 years and i cannot draw. Hand drawings is like ploughing a field with a horse and cart instead of using a tractor. I dont know of any companies we deal with that will accept hand drawings....just my opinion.
