The following are rules set for every person who connects to the Tribes Legacy server: 1. Respect, is essential. This simply means keeping arguments from escalating, keeping the shit talk to a minimum, limiting the spam, and keeping the temper cool. Common sense. 2. Cheating of any kind is strictly prohibited. This includes exploiting glitches and using any extras or downloaded files with an unfair advantage (HM, pixel chasers, fog modifications). 3. Malicious intent will result in an instant ejection and/or banishment. This means intentional basekilling, teamkilling when team damage is on, boost spamming, and crashing the server. 4. We encourage relaxing and having fun. The entire purpose of Tribes is to have fun. It's a game, and a good one. Enjoy it! The rules below are set forth for those granted admin privileges on the server: Admin abuse is not tolerated in any way, shape, or form. This privilege granted to you is a tool, not a toy. Admin abuse constitutes any granting of unfair advantages to the administrator, using the punishments for no justifiable reason ("He pissed me off" is absolutely not an excuse), or any other means of use that demean or anger another player on the server. Playing around with fellow clanmates until asked to stop is excusable, but any other abuse of your power is grounds for immediate stripping of admin and demotion. Keep this in mind. Criteria are as follows for administering punishment: 1. Use of builder should be limited to the following criteria: - You are alone on the server - There are less than four including you on the server - There is a passing vote for builder 2. Global muting an individual should be limited to these criteria: - Voicepack spam (remove voicepack; if spam continues through chat, global mute) - Excessive offensive chat including spam or obscene words 3. Ejection is limited to these criteria: - Offender is basekilling or teamkilling. Remove as soon as the offense is proven. - Offender is boosting. - Offender is being generally asinine (muting preferred). 4. Banishment of players is limited to these criteria: - The offender has returned from an ejection and begins to repeat actions - HM use has been proven through screenshots and/or video recording - Server crashing has been reported and proven. - Banishing a player should be noted in the BANNED section. If you have administered any punishment, be prepared to support your decision with snapshots, logs, or recordings. As a final note: As an admin, you are elevated above normal players on the server. You are expected to act as such. Deliver punishments swiftly, and in a professional, mature manner. Edited by Matrixo2, Jul 17 2010, 01:05 AM.
