Here's what they showed me: ![]() The X's mark the blockages and the numbers tell what % of my blood-flow was blocked. (90% and 100%)
I'm on Plavix, Lisinopril, Simvastatin, Carvedilol, and baby aspirin.
I don't. Proof this is true: ![]() Chumlee from Pawn Stars Edited by S']['U, Jan 5 2011, 08:55 PM.

Yeah, theres impair in brain perfusion, so less blood and less functions ![]() Yeah STU you got one of the most common arteries in heart attacks, but np, you just have to strictly follow the recommendations.. You know, smoking is a huge factor for that. This was a warning, you can still keep yourself up and get better again ![]() Edited by corte, Jan 5 2011, 09:25 PM.

Doctor Corte showing that he understand the subject. Well as STU gave up smoking, I will quit drinking Coke and such kind of drink.. It doesn't even satisfy my thirst and still causes bad effects. Ok, maybe not quit, but reduce to once a week is already good. |

STU. We should get together and share our medications and pudding. On a more serious side-note, I sneezed this morning and tore some stitches. It feels like the devil dwells within my mouth. |

Heh... I still have 5 unopened packs of cigs here that cost me over $35.00 Even though they were purchased just before my heart attack, the place where I got them won't accept returns or even exchange them for my roomate's brand. They pointed to a sign that says "No Returns or Exchanges on Tobacco Products. STATE LAW" WTF? I thought the government wanted people to quit smoking? They sure aren't making it easy for me. The damn things are STILL in my house. Edited by S']['U, Jan 6 2011, 02:16 PM.

$35.00 is a lot of money for someone who's unemployed and uninsured. It's not so easy for me to just throw them away. If I can find a way to recover any of it, I have to try. The money would pay for a week's worth of meds. |

I quit smoking last year. Everything taste better now my clothes smell better life is better without smokes. A roommate that smokes wont help your chances of quitting. If he doesn't smoke outside you might want to ask him to. Good luck its tuff but you can do it |

I won't ask my roommate to stand outside in the cold to smoke. He has 2 rooms of his own to smoke in and he burns lots of candles. Besides, you'll never convince me that second-hand smoke is nearly as dangerous as smoking yourself. As far as tempting me.... A forced 4-day nicotine detox (my hospital stay) made it real easy for me. Since I know I'll never get such a good head start on quitting again, I'm not going to mess it up. I'm still 100% cig-free in 2011, and it hasn't been difficult at all ...so far. Edited by S']['U, Jan 7 2011, 04:55 AM.

Smoking is personal choice. But if it's starting to negatively affect others then the smoker really needs to reevaluate his or her choices. |

STU, second-hand smoke is really bad. If you stay, for example, in a bar (closed envoirnment) where there are people smoking and all, it is as if you smoked one cigarrete per hour yourself, same damage. Of course you have only your roommate there, but it still counts, because the toxins will accumulate in the air you are breathing. But just open the windows a little more or ask him to smoke in his bedroom, something lik that would work. And, Doomsday/Magnet, go do some investigation and star treating your hypertension (if confirmed) ASAP! |
