Well as some of you know I was purchasing an original Starsiege: Universe from Amazon, i found it cheap and it was brand new. I was so excited!

I waited weeks over christmas for it to arrive, and finally, today, it did. I ripped open the packaging as fast as i could like a child opening a christmas present! However...

At first I was deceived. Everything looked great as i hugged it with all my heart. That is, until i opened it.

The first thing that occurred to me was the lack of security tag or authentication sticker...

Surely it should have one of these?

Perhaps not, I thought... Dynamix was hardly a famous company and it was an underrated game. Then a second thing occurred to me...

The case contained no manual! What a drag! I had been denied the awesomely cool fullsize cardboard box, and been denied the obligatory manual that comes with nearly every game! WTF?! Even the USA and German release had MANUALS! What is the UK version thinking? GAH!

My Case:

What should be inside:

Hmm...Again I simply thought...maybe Dynamix too poor for manuals :( :( :( :(

Then..I removed the disk...It looked a little odd.

It was printed kinda squint..and in black and white...

Well AGAIN! I thought perhaps dynamix couldn't afford good printers...

So finally I loaded the disk into my PC...

Finally things were looking up. I loaded up the setup and began to install the game.

Only to realise...

It was the wrong game. The disk didn't have Tribes on it.

Whaaaaaat?! I BOUGHT TRIBES, AND DIDN'T GET TRIBES?! WTF!

IT WAS COUNTERFEIT.

The disk only contained half the game, i searched all the Readmes, EULA and copyright notices, all the base folder and Voices for anything that remotely relates to tribes. Its not there.
