There is finally some information about the upcoming MWKF Tournament. The good news is that this is in Chicago like it usually has been instead of some other random locations. The tournament takes place the weekend preceding the ECUSKF Testing on November 14, 2009. For some reason, the page isn't up on the main MWKF webpage, but I found the application form with all the details in PDF form here. On a related note, I did hear more information about the next joint practice in Columbus. There will be a shinpan seminar going on since very few of us could make it to the one in Nashville. It's mainly for people 3rd dan and up to learn the specifics on how to judge kendo matches, but anyone of any skill level is invited, which is a great opportunity to get some insight on how matches are judged. Plus, they need some guinea pigs to give certain scenarios to the judges to give them some practice. The info for that one is here |

I was finally able to get the tournament on DVD. I gave a copy to Takano sensei earlier today so blame me if practice is a little tough. But I can also make copies for those that want them. So whether it be by text, email, facebook or snail-mail, let me know if you want a copy and I can bring it in on Tuesday. |
