Abayo! Posts: 488 Group: Admin Member #3 Joined: June 1, 2007	Our Events Nov. 22nd Promotional Test. Dec. Johnson's Cup Feb. Detroit Tournament Cleveland Tournament etc. We will fully focus on the Promotional test till Nov. 22nd. After that we will get ready for Jhonson's cup and at this point, I would like to Mike, Robert and Daniel to experience first tournament if no limit in applicants from a each dojo. Dec. to Feb. we will be ready for two big tournaments. We have to act now -Promotional test applicants have to apply for the test. (Chris said no one from our school have applied yet) -Please find out winter break as soon as you can. -If possible please cancel next Sunday practice and encourage as many as students to attend the joint practice. -Take care of themselves. Please announce to students to carry his/her hat in their bogu bag and protect from cold after their practice. -Please let students know that Chris Ruggiero is coming to teach every Sunday and encourage them to join on Sunday practice. -Please give me back a feedback of Thursday practice how you are doing and time management. Do you have time for Kata practice? -Again we should have open house once or twice a month for starters. If there is a reason why you can not do please let me know. It is great news that we have more instructors and by communicating each other well can make UC a great team. I will follow up with more detailed plan later. Thanks. Junko

Please coordinate with someone to bring extra pens and papers just for people do not get this note. You should get ready to make sheets, a note or a book to keep recording the scores at the tournament. (Do you remember tow sheet I gave you which to keep a tournament score for team and individual? ) I will do the following practice tomorrow. 1) To talk attitude and tips at the tournament (15 minutes) 2) Shiai practice (30 minutes) 3) Basics and waza - bogu group, Suburi and ashisabaki- beginers 4) Gigeiko Please let me know if you have any question. I spend a lot of effort to make applicants get ready for this day but only 2 out of 7 took the test. Seems like they did not apply at end or missed deadline. At the registration, we did not know the situation, all of us at the test try to contact to the students who did not show up. Then we realize that we did not know how to reach them. We learn the lesson from today's incidence and must improve the situation for the future events. On the other hand Danessa and Kefer did very good job. Denessa became 2kyu and Kefer became 3kyu. I think we have so many student now that we are loosing our communication. It is a good problem, however, we have to something about it. I am sorry that I did not consult with all of you except Chri-George but I felt that we needed an immediate attention. I gave Danessa an official title "UC kendo club secretly (or manager) " As we know she is someone who we can count on and she has a excellent execution skill. I did not doubt myself that she is the one for this job. These are things that we have to reorganize. 1) To create a Calendar 2) To create member list in excel form (registrations: ECUSKF and USKF, Rank and the date obtained ) 3) All members' immediate contact method and numbers 4) Emergency contact person and number - the experience from Sun's emergency incident 1) To create a Calendar -Chris George He has been working on this case. Please use excel format and create month and write all events include ECUSKF events such as joint practices, new years practice etc. Use "TBA" for unknown date till you know the date and location. We definitely should attend ECUSKF events and spread our name. Please prepare a clear map and direction to OSU (include the nearest parking space) for new students since we have most of events over there. I don't know where you guys are posting these information but all students should know what's going on next. 2) To create member list in excel form (registrations: ECUSKF and USKF, Rank and the date obtained)- Danessa Danessa will keep records of student's status, being a time keeper for deadlines and collecting fees. Gin-kun, Please pick Danessa's suitable title and let me know. Also please announce to other students. I will wait to hear from you then I will tell Koizumi-san (ECUSKF treasury), Ito-san (ECUSKF education) and Elizabeth to forward their e-mail to Danessa. Could you tell me how you used to inform events after you received information from the organization? I think Chris-George is a good person to be a UC Education additionally being a instructor. He attends all events and finding out a tournaments here and there. I think UC kendo club need an unity now. That is your next step. The greatest news! Chris Ruggiero will competing as a UC team member this year. I am hoping having 4 teams from UC now! we are going to aim for 1st 2nd 3rd place. Good Luck!!! Senior Member Posts: 59 Group: Admin Member #12 Joined: February 15, 2008	I think the best solution for that is to just make a form and bring it to the next few practices to have people fill it out, and add it to some electronic backup.
