In Alhireth realm. Alhireth: What gives me the honor of a visit by a chaos goddess? Have you lost your world to play with? Well, I hope you have something amusing for me, because I am a bit bored and the only thing to cheer me up that comes to my mind is blowing up some world. Discorida: I always found that spreading chaos and confusion is much more fun than just plain destruction. To annihilate civilizations is one thing, but letting them do it themselves is way more entertaining. Alhireth: You think about it on a too small scale, we are not talking about civilizations but whole universes. Discordia: (ironically) Size does matter? Huh, but it is the details that make the fun. Just a small detail can change everything, a small detail can take systems out of control, a small details with largest possible effects bringing everything out of equilibrium. Alhireth: I see what you mean. So do you have a plan in this direction or why are you here? Remember if you want something from me, you got to have something to offer. Discordia: I am well aware of this. What I have in mind is the staff of Ragnar Bloodwrath. Alhireth: Interesting, I always thought it was a rather useless totem. I just kept it for fun. But tell me, what could it do in your hand? Discordia: It is way more that just a lifeless totem. It contains the soul of one of Ragnar Bloodwrath’s personalities. Currently all his personalities are suppressed by an ancient warlock. If you collect all the totems associated with Ragnar, the warlock will lose the upper hand and the fundamental struggle begins anew. Alhireth: That is indeed interesting, but even if size might not matter as much as I tended to believe, how can that be fun for me? Discordia: Without a single shred of doubt, Ragnar is far from being ordinary. He alone can destabilize huge part of the populated space. But if he is the state of identity crisis he can spread chaos everywhere. And let’s not forget about the warlock, his spirit alone attracts the greed and interest of those rich and searching for power. In the wrong hands the knowledge of this ancient being can cause havoc beyond imagination. The struggle for it will make many competing interests enemies and lead to broken alliances of highest importance. A whole new cause of action will be launched by that. What might finally evolve out of this, not even I can reasonably predict. Alhireth: That gets me hooked a bit. If a well know chaos goddess can no estimate the effects it must surely be entertaining to watch. Also I guess your old foe Seth won’t like to see that coming. I have never been overly impressed by him anyway. Discordia: So one reason more, for my idea to become reality, don’t you think? [I guess you shall determine, whether this is enough] |
