Mission: The Wounded Synopsis: Over the past few months, reports have been coming in to Starfleet about attacks on shipping lanes in sector 219. At first it had been assumed that this had been the work of Orion Pirates and local police forces had assumed responsibility for the investigation. However 2 weeks ago, 2 police cruisers were destroyed and the USS Mirarmar was sent to investigate, their initial investigations pointed to another faction being involved. They were supposed to report in 48 hours ago but they have not checked in, neither have they responded to our hails. The Republic is to head to sector 219, determine the status of the Mirarmar and discover who is attacking the shipping lanes and stop them. Mission Information: The shipping lanes are being attacked by 2 Upgraded Romulan D7 cruisers who have a deal with the local regional governer. The Romulan Captains are using the supplies gained from the attacks to restock an old Romulan base that was hidden in this area, stock piling for the coming war with the Federation. The regional governer, Leighton Chapel takes a percentage of the hauls and in return provides intelligence on the movements of ships in his area, police patrols and any other information he deems warrented. Story hooks: The Federation are unaware of governers betrayal and the Republic are ordered to report to the governer on arrival to get area intelligence and to work with him, but the Captain is in actual control of the mission, the governer can advise but cannot order. Mission: Something wicked this way comes Synopsis: The Republic is assigned to Meldos 5, a planet currently a protectorate in the Federation. They have reported that a massive shockwave is on course for the planet that will destroy it in less than 3 days. The Republic is to assist in evacuation or find a way to stop the shock wave before 8 billion people lose their lives, the Federation is sending several smaller vessels, 2 Akira Class ships, 4 Federation transport ships, 2 colony ships. The Akiras are the USS Typhoon and the USS Kitty Hawk under the commands of Commander Erica D'elaros and Captain Franklin Thompson. Both Commanders are relatively inexperienced and are to report to the Republic for orders. Mission Information: The wave threatening Meldos 5 is not a natural event, using a proto type design for a tri-lilithum device that was purchased from the Duras family, Meldos 5 has had an ongoing war with the inhabitants of Deltros Prime and this is seen as a final solution to their war. Story Hooks: Pretty much up to the crew to discover the wave and come up with a way to destroy it or get the people off planet, however there is not enough time to evacuate the entire population, about 40% of the total population can be saved with the time left to them. Mission: The Killing Fields Mission Synopsis: The ship is ordered to Cestus III, an important strategic world and trading partner of the Federation. The home world of a loose confederation of lesser developed planets, it was discovered that several moons in orbit of Cestus III had high quality Dilithium Crystals as well as large deposits of other vital minerals in starship construction and warp drive assembly. Cestus III has recently experienced a civil war that has decimated the planet and recently one powerful faction has managed to capture the Capital and declared themselves the new government. The government prior to this was attempting to put into place democratic systems to replace the old style monarchy that had been in place for centuries. Recently, with the civil war reaching its most violent, a special forces team led by Lt A.K Waters, a 22 year combat veteran were sent in to secure key Federation personnel on planet. That was two weeks ago and the last transmission was that Waters had located the targets and was trying to get to the extract point. He never made it and no report has made it back. The Republic is to work with the current government in finding and retrieving Waters, his team and the Federation Personnel they were sent to locate. Mission Information: Lt Waters witnessed a government slaughter of the native people in a village they past extracting the Federation VIPs who were there on a humanitarian mission. Since then he has been getting civilians out of the kill zone and to neutral zones further south. The government needs to kill Waters and the people with him in order to prevent news of their actions reaching the Federation and costing them their trade deals. Story Hooks; The Republic has been ordered to work with the government in hunting him down as they know his tactics and his thinking, eventually the Republic will have to choose sides and if they choose to aid Waters, they will find that their transporters are blocked and they have to send in land forces to extract and retrieve him, mean while government forces will attack the Republic while blocking their com systems to prevent word of their actions becoming public knowledge |

Taha, These are all quite exceptional ideas. I had the opportunity to read each of them the other day but hadn't yet had the opportunity to respond accordingly. I was curious to know if each of these mission ideas were adaptable to formulate and/or construct and overall story-arc of interconnecting missions? Something Wicked this way Comes sounds as if it could be a spectacular off-shoot to our current mission, but would the other two be at all adaptable to coincide as possible story-arcs? Take care, Sampy |

Yeah absolutely, these are merely suggestions, like the topic says it is mission development, anyone can add or change what is there so we can make it a more interesting and crew based mission. |

I think that they would be good in a series with some transitions between them if anyone could come up with some transitional stories to tie all three into each other that would be a good, or we could explore these individually with leaves scheduled between them or off duty time. I would like to hear everyone on this. |
