Got to say it -- another great episode. LOVED Starbuck's tantrums: "We're going the wrong way!!!!!" How frustrating is it when you're trying to get through to people who just won't listen! And it just had to happen, didn't it? The Cylons are created to emulate humans, so it was just a matter of time until they reached a point where they differed on the rights of the less fortunate in their society and it came down to bringing in the military for a pre-emptive strike. Why Six was so amazed that Boomer would break ranks and join the other side was a little mystifying since this model has always played the rogue. And the ultimate ego trip -- now Baltar is in his own head, so he can argue with himself! Priceless! |

Oh great, now we have to deal with two Baltars! One of him was bad enough. I am really starting to detest him. If he really is going to turn out to be the savior of mankind I wish he would hurry up and start redeaming himself because I don't think I can stomach watching him much longer. I knew all the way back in season 1 that the metal cylons were going to rebel. At one point one of the 7 was talking with a human (the president or Adama, I can't remember) and when questioned about the metal versions of the cylons they replied "oh, they still have their uses" and I thought to myself "Well, you guys are doing the same thing to them that the humans did to you. Glass houses people!" Wow, that scene between the President and Adama was intense. Once again Mary McDonnell moved me with just the look on her face. |

Yes, that savage little dance between Roslyn and Adama ranks right up there with one of this series' most intense scenes. It certainly emphasized that love/hate relationship the two of them have always had for one another. This was definitely a gut wrenching episode for Adama, and he experienced emotions from both ends and the middle of the spectrum. Everything from feeling disappointment, pride and acceptance of his son to fighting his distrust and love for the woman he looks on as his "daughter" (who may or may not be a Cylon tool) and having his loyalty divided between Roslyn and Kara and having to make a choice that could spell the salvation or the destruction of mankind. And has Six made a choice that will result in the destruction of the Cylons? |
