Saw this in the Hollywood Reporter: Katee Sackhoff in Wolf-produced pilot Hour series centers on offbeat LAPD detective By Nellie Andreeva Katee Sackhoff is "Lost and Found" at NBC. The "Battlestar Galactica" star has been tapped as the lead in the network's Dick Wolf-produced pilot, created by Chris Levinson. The hourlong "Found," produced by Wolf Films and Universal Media Studios, centers on Tessa (Sackhoff), an offbeat female LAPD detective who, after butting heads with the higher-ups, is sent as a punishment to the basement to work on John Doe and Jane Doe cases. The casting of Sackhoff means a firm production order for the pilot, which was picked up last month as cast-contingent. Chris Levinson, who originally developed the show during the 2006-07 development season, is exec producing "Found" with Wolf and Wolf Films' Nena Rodrigue and Peter Jankowski. Sackhoff, best known for her starring role as Kara "Starbuck" Thrace on "Battlestar," co-starred on the NBC/UMS drama series "Bionic Woman" last season. The show sounds an awful lot like "Cold Case" to me. I'll check it out though since she's in it. I'm glad she got out of that dreadful Bionic Woman remake and is moving on. I'd like to see her in something other than Science Fiction. I'm also interested to see Wolf doing something other than Law and Order. |

I didn't catch the Bond marathon but I did see the brief previews they had on during SciFi Friday. An interesting note to the first article I posted above. I seem to recall reading somewhere that Jamie Bamber (Apollo) will next be staring in "Law & Order: UK" That's right boys and girls, L&O has moved across the pond and Mr. Apollo will be joining it's ranks. I guess he really enjoyed the courtroom scenes he had last season. Also, did any one catch Katee Sackhoff in her guest appearance on the regular Law & Order a few weeks ago?? So what's up with the BSG - L&O connection??? |

Sorry for the double post but I found an article about it. It doesn't mention Bamber but the show is listed on his IMDB site. Oh, and guess who else is going to star in it. Freema Agyeman. I guess she got tired Doctors and desided to hang out with Lawyers instead! Law & Order comes to UK, reversing transatlantic script flow· ITV commissions British version of US crime series Leigh Holmwood The Guardian, Friday 4 January 2008 ITV is lining up a British version of the hit crime drama Law & Order in a rare example of an American-scripted programme being remade for a UK audience. Britain has long had success in exporting shows to be remade for US audiences, from Till Death Us Do Part to The Office, whereas UK broadcasters usually take American versions of programmes. ITV is understood to be in "advanced talks" with the American network NBC about the new show, which is expected to be called Law & Order: London. The British production company Kudos, which makes the BBC1 dramas Life On Mars and Spooks, will co-produce the new series - which will be based on the American version's scripts - with NBC Universal. The UK show, which is expected to be given an initial 13-episode run - long by British standards - would be the first English-language version outside the US. NBC has had success with Russian and French versions of the series spin-offs Special Victims Unit and Criminal Intent. The British show would be the first foreign spin-off of the main franchise. Law & Order is the longest running crime series on American television, entering its 18th season this week. It is the second-longest running US television series, outdistanced only by cowboy classic Gunsmoke. Law & Order was created in 1990 by American drama producer Dick Wolf, a former classmate of George Bush, and has starred Fred Thompson, who is campaigning for the Republican presidential nomination. The show proved a success in Britain when it aired on Channel Five and several versions of the franchise air on other UK channels. ITV hopes to begin production in April to broadcast the show next year. It would fit with ITV1's new schedule, announced yesterday, focusing on hour-long dramas to air in the 9pm slot three nights a week before the resurrected News at Ten. Kudos, which also makes the con-artist drama Hustle, was recently bought by Shine, the production company owned by Rupert Murdoch's daughter Elisabeth. Shine is also currently in the process of buying American production company Reveille, which was set up by the recently appointed NBC Entertainment co-chairman Ben Silverman. The British deal forms part of NBC's aim to double its international revenues over three years. It is thought the British version would also make it back to the US on one of NBC's cable channels, such as USA or Bravo. Now how weird and convoluted is that. The Brits take our American show and make their own version which, in turn, will be sold back to the US to be shown on one of the original shows parent company's cable stations. My head hurts!! |

Well, it looks like the other show didn't pan out and her guest spots on CSI may be coming to an end. What is it with Katee and detective roles? from TVline.com: Pilot Scoop: Katee Sackhoff, Smallville Vet, Others Join A&E's Longmire Well, there’s one Battlestar Galactica vet who won’t be joining Ron Moore’s frak pack-heavy NBC procedural 17th Precinct: Katee Sackhoff. The badass formerly known as Starbuck has landed the female lead in the A&E pilot Longmire. Based on the Walt Longmire Mystery series of novels by Craig Johnson, the project centers on a charismatic, dry-witted Wyoming sheriff (played by Matrix actor Robert Taylor). Sackhoff will play Vic, one of his deputies. Sackhoff is coming off a recurring role as Det. Frankie Reed on CSI. Also cast on Longmire, Deadline reports, are Cassidy Freeman (Smallville), as Longmire’s daughter; Lou Diamond Phillips (Numb3rs) as his best friend; and Bailey Chase (Saving Grace) as another deputy. I tried to find some more information about the mystery series but all the hits I got on google were about them making it a TV show. I've never heard of the series before but as a mystery fan I will definately be checking it out. |

I liked Katie on CSI. She added some punch, not that I don't love the show, its characters and actors. I thought the show was going to die until Lawrence Fishburn made the character of Ray is real. That show is the best. Good for Katie to continue her work. |

It's official now: A&E Picks Up Katee Sackhoff Drama Longmire It’s official: Katee Sackhoff is returning to TV. A&E has given a 10-episode, first season order to Longmire, an hour-long Western-themed drama starring Matrix actor Robert Taylor as the show’s titular charismatic, dry-witted Wyoming sheriff. Sackhoff will play Vic, one of his deputies. The series, based on the Walt Longmire Mystery series of novels by Craig Johnson, also stars Cassidy Freeman (Smallville) as Longmire’s daughter, Lou Diamond Phillips (Numb3rs) as his best friend, and Bailey Chase (Saving Grace) as another deputy. -------------------------------------------- After I read about this back in March I desided to check out the book series on which this show is based. I read the first two. They are good. Not great...but good. As a mystery fan I was a bit disapointed because the mystery part was kind of easy to figure out. But it's possible I'm being a bit unfair. I read A LOT of mysteries so I've kind of "seen it all" so to speak. It's hard to pull one over on me these days story wise. Anyway, the series is really more about Wyoming itself and the people that live there oh, and it just happens to have a mystery in it. I can say that Katie is absolutly perfect for the role of Vic and I will most likely check this show out just to see her play that character. Oh, and don't let the "western themed" description fool you. What he means is the show is set in the west (Wyoming) but the time period is present day. |

Well, Lou Diamond Phillips starred in Stargate Universe. So I imagine this show has a really good chance for a couple of seasons. (fingers crossed) |
