This site is for people who have a serious love for film making, video editing and special effects. Please do not spam the forums with pointless messages. Repeat spamming will be dealt with by having your messages deleted and a suspension. 1. Do not make personal attacks on other members. I want this to be a helpful and friendly site. If I find people are behaving badly or attacking other members or their work, you will be BANNED from the site. 2. Please keep the swearing to a minimum please. When posting in the main sections I do not want to see any swearing, as professional software members may be using these forums. I am sure they do not want to see people posting up foul language. With this in mind it is a bit more relaxed in the general forums, you can swear within reason so long as it's not over the top. 3. Nothing racist or offensive. Such posts will be deleted, and possible suspension depending on the seriousness of the post. 4. If you are posting up videos or works in progress, please make sure that it is in fact your own work and not copyrighted. If you have used someone else's effects or videos, please ensure that you have permission and that the rightful owner is credited. We will not tolerate anyone taking credit for work done by someone else. 5. There are some posts explaining how to make small pyrotechnic effects solely for the use of film making. We urge you to read the safety warnings pinned in the rooms. We will not allow any member to post up how to make bombs or anything dangerous. Not only is this for everyone's safety, but we will not allow such things to be posted. Anything from fire crackers to a safe small flame burst. Nothing that can be considered dangerous from 5 feet or more. 6. Do not post up pornographic or offensive images to the site. If it is artistic or part of a serious film and not considered seedy camcorder porn then there can be exceptions. But you must post "Not safe for work" or NWS so people are aware that there may be adult content that could cause problems on a work computer. 7. Avatars and signatures are permitted so long as avatars are 100x110 in dimension and sigs are around 750x150. A little over isn't too bad, but nothing huge. 8. When posting a message, please can you try to not write in text speech, because this does annoy me when people write like that. And it is a hassle to edit and retype a post. If you have spelling problems, please make us aware of this. 9. Computer piracy. This is something we do not condone or agree with. If you post up questions on how to download pirated software, the message will be deleted, and there is a possibility that the relevant authorities will be contacted. Do not do it! 10. Recently we have had a lot of new members sign up to the site with the same introduction message then in the next paragraph start advertising websites that have no relevance to the community here. If anybody signs up only to post 1 message about advertising other non related websites, the member and their post will be deleted. You are more than welcome to advertise your site if it is relevant to our theme which is film making or video editing software, and you are required to be an active member of this site. Anything to do with poker, real estate, porn, get rich quick etc... then it's classed as spam and not welcome here.
