Rendering issue

Posted by danakinobi (Members) at Nov 21 2009, 05:31 PM. 4 comments

Hello everyone... Once again, thanks for any past advise given to me.

Issue I have now is that I can see through my rendered model.

Here is a photo example...:

AirwolfRendered

Airwolf Edit mode

Cannon Render

Cannon edit mode

When modeling my object... I can see a solid object, but when rendered, the backside is missing...

Is there something I need to check? Or do I have to remodel the object/part?

I will rig bipeds for you

As the title says I will rig characters from 3ds max version 2009 with the biped system for any humanoid character you need to have ready for your project. I charge between $50-$150 depending on the complexity of the model and any additional work needed. Naked models are fairly easy and cheap to rig, but when you add clothes, accessories and other extras it does tend to get more complicated. I work with bipeds all the time and over the years i have become faster and better at making rigs as it is something I know excepionally well.

Services include...

Creating a full biped rig over your character
Adding a physique modifier to conform the bones to the mesh
Alternativly adding a skin modifier to conform the bones to the mesh
Conforming or attaching accessories to the character for example both hands will attach to a rifle and by moving one hand and both will remain locked onto the weapon saving extra animation work)
Adding an Ik target with a control helper to the characters eyes so they move or lock onto an object and save extra animation work

services do not include...

Modelling a figure
Adding a morph system to the face
Adding a cloth simulation
Using the bones system

Payment types accepted are paypal (preferred) or cheques and postal orders from the UK only
send me a pm for more details and questions

I am modelling the Ed 209 robot and now i seem to be stuck on something soo basic its embarresing. I need to create some wires As in red, blue, green (bomb squads biggest dilema) And im not sure how to go about it. They need to be quite small and bendy and i know that by using a spline is by going the best way about it, apart from that im stuck

Slight Animation issue.

Having slight issue with animation.

I've created a cannon that extends out like a telescope... Issue is that when I try to animate the cannon, I want the animation to start at Fram 120 and finish at 130.

If I try to start the animation at that point. The Cannon will not extend out. I have to move the start time before frame 100... It will work... But if the end time is past 100 Says at 110. The animation just stops.

Is there a reason that the animation only works from frames 1-100, but will not work past Fram e100. It acts like nothing or no keyframes were set past 100?

I also should mention that the Telescoping action was crated using HD solver. So I am not sure if that has anything to do with it...

Help!!!!

Sliding Joing Problem

Posted by danakinobi (Members) at Oct 7 2009, 04:14 PM. 3 comments

I'm working on rigging or creating a Cannont that pops out and extends... Similar to the cannons on the Airwolf helicopter.

I've setup the HD solver to control how the cannon extends out. But problem is, I have linked the cannon to a cover, that will eventually be attached to the body of the helicopter.

Everything "but" the Star/point that is created by the HD solver, move.

I pinned the front barrel to a dummy box, which I use to control the barrell sliding back and fourth. But when the cannon is rotated. The Star/Point Does not move... It stays in same place and a blue line follows it everywere, but I tried to link the barrel to the dummy box, but this did not help either.

Here are some pictures of what I am doing.

So as you see, the cannon barrel is working perfectly, but the star does not move. Any suggestions?

Reactor Car Rigging

I'm trying to rig a car using reactor, and I had everything rigged correctly until I got to the part of setting the Mass. Its a very complex car (Lamy Mercelio) and All the peices are in groups. Reactor wont let me set a mass. How can I get past this; I have wasted 3 hours already.

Difference between max 9 and 2009

Posted by Zeus (Members) at Sep 22 2009, 02:33 PM. 4 comments

Greetings,

My first post here and I hope that someone can give me some insight on this. I've been using 3ds max 2009 (student version) for about a year. My subscription is about to expire and I've decided to purchase the full commercial version. I've decided against 2010 and was wondering if there are any major differences between max 9 and 2009 (regular versions not 2009 design)? I've done a bit of research on it and although it looks like there may be a few changes from each version, I'm not sure if there are enough to even worry about. I appreciate your time.

Thanks,
Mike
