here are a few links on where to get some gun props. Please read the safety post Sticky I made in this room before ordering and using.

some of them are quite good. Im guessing you would need to buy in bulk if doing a war film

not neccisarily, you can do a whole war movie with just 1 or 2 guns. Its how you film the scene that makes the difference, you can make sure that the person in the shot has the gun and when it cuts to someone else, give it to him. Or if you want to get clever, clone your soldiers into the scene so you have an army, just make sure you do not overlap and make sure the face is not showing too well other wise they will be "clones"

Does anyone know much about the new UK laws regarding Airsoft guns,it would
seem that unless your a proper tv company or a skirmisher you cant buy Airsoft
guns unless there some stupid bright colour.

Would they let a Amatuer film maker buy them?

I think as far as the new UK legislation goes, you need to be part of a registered airsoft club or air rifle gun glub in order to be able to buy airsoft. This does not include paintball guns, but it is just to try and prevent replica gun crime and irrisponsible behaviour
