I couldn't begin to explain what audition is capable of because if its audio related then the possibilities are endless. Adobe are known for being advanced and the superior company when it comes to programs.

I have the trial version and cant afford the full version yet. But I am finding it complicated as any adobe program is when you first get it.

You can make music, it has a whole library of instrument sounds.
Yuo can record old vynal tracks and erase the crackling sound you get

Repair bad audio with its intelligent repair system.

Remove music from a song so you just have the singing or vice versa

Mix and remix songs.

This is just a brief example, but there is soo much more to audition

I have this to make film scores with. Its like having an orchastra in your living room, however you do need to be good with music in general to be able to make it. Adobe give you thousands of music loops to use with your music.

my trial expires in a week I really havent had time to play around with it. I should use it a bit more to make a decision on whether or not i should buy it. However audio editing isn't my strong point, so if anyone finds any useful video tutorials or text tutorials please post them. Prefrably the basics

I use audition a lot, specially for life sound corrections.
In the 'process effects' there is a very effective noise reductionfilter.

Has anyone already used the new 'soundbooth CS3 or Audition 3.0'?

Hi, some tutorials on Adobe Audition (1.5/2/3):

Adobe Audition: Tutorials on Adobe.com

Adobe Audition: Audio Secrets

Adobe Audition: Very basics tutorials

Adobe Audition: Short Loop-Based Soundtrack Tutorial

Adobe Audition: Interface

Global Audio Tutorials Website

Classical Youtube Search

I never found good tutorials on Audition like we can have in 2d/3d.

Adobe Audition is a good and complete editing audio software, however it isn't the industry standard (i could compare Autodesk 3ds Max to Digidesign Pro Tools). I guess it's the reason why we don't find any good (free) tutorials on the net.

There is always the possibility to purchase a cd/dvd tutorials on Lynda.com

Have a nice day and sorry for my crappy english

Question, its been a while since I have been on this forum, but the question is. Do you have to have a MIDI keyboard hooked up to your computer in order to use the Virtual Instrument? This is what I do...

I add a Midi Track>right click>Sequencer> And then I receive a lay out of a keyboard.. I hit the keys like a Cmajor.. and no sounds come up... is cause I need a Midi keyboard?

I absolutely LOVE the 5.1 surround encoder. Now I gotta get better at it
I find it very nice to piece together audition tapes for band junk. It has fast Features for cutting and pieceing stuff.
This Program is so awesome (i think its easier to use than most adobe programs) but this is because It used to be under the name of "cool edit pro" until adobe bought it out. The great thing is that they didn't change much; they just added stuff.
