Death of jump-racing horses 'unacceptable' - SAFE Now I'm really against this ... I grew up in a district which was dominated by the army and horse racing. Race day was a big thing for us, people from miles around converging on the race course. Hot dogs and candy floss for the kids and perhaps the chance to pick up a winning ticket discarded by some befuddled race goer! But at age 10 when they shot a horse out in front of the stand I haven't been back since! Source Link |

You know better than to tell me what to ignore. ==================================== Oh the games people play now Every night and every day now Never meaning what they say now Never saying what they mean And they wile away the hours In their ivory towers Till they're covered up with flowers In the back of a black limousine [Chorus:] La-da da da da da da da La-da da da da da de Talking 'bout you and me And the games people play |

Oh Good Grief. It's just a thing people say if they've made a pun. It is to draw attention to the thing they consider witty. Just a silly throw- away, which is what fuzzy's been trying to tell you. Just fgeddaboudit. Do not ask for an explanation of that last comment please. :) |

Now just a cotton picking minute. Do you have to have a lawyer (Fuzzy O) explain it. Like you can't do it yourself? Don't tell me not to ask for an explanation. You should know better after all these years. |

Horses love to race, you can soon tell if they aren't enjoying it. I agree that the steeplechase should be abandoned, you can see them trying their hardest, but it's real tough on them. |

When a horse breaks his leg in a jump I think the jockey or the owner should be shot in the head. That would quickly take the steam out of the "sport."
