My daughter bless her heart, bought me a new Coach purse while in New Orleans at an outlet store. She says it's my Christmas gift but gave it to me while I was in Calgary. She paid 170.00 U.S. so probably 220.00 Cad. I saw an identical one in the West Edmonton Mall today for 380.00, a happy moment indeed. I have been using one continuously that I purchased in an outlet in Carlsbad Ca. in 2010, it's just beginning to show some wear. I would not pay the prices here though, and of course they never go on sale!

Shorty, I saw the production of A Chorus Line at Stratford and I must admit it was not the best I'd seen. I was underimpressed.

The real 'local' locals dont usually attend the theater. There is a 'town and gown' kind of thing that goes on. However, there are a lot of retirees from big cities living in and around Stratford and many of the actors stay there year round so they are all theater goers and can usually afford the bill. As well, the Festival uses volunteers from the community for ushers, envelope stuffers and what have you. There is a 5 year waiting list to volunteer since they get free tickets to shows that are not sold out, to rehearsals and dress rehearsals etc. It is quite a perque. And if you are a Torontonian and used to ticket prices there the Stratford prices are puny in comparison.

Sorry about the advance reservations for Pazzo. Any of the good places, during the season require advanced reservations. I should have told you. John and I usually attend matinees and so have a better chance for reservations as they can squeeze us in between dinner services built around the showings.

Now that I have a feel for it, we will return mid week. There were good hotels available then. We're starting to see more of Ontario now. We really enjoyed St Jacobs. Even my husband did and he isn't a browser. Who knew watching a broom being made was so fascinating. It's a shame that we can't afford to ship it back west.

I did end up buying a new purse, just not in Stratford. I've been wanting a 'theft secure' purse and saw one in St Jacobs. They do tend to be a bit heavier. I'll just use it for travel.
