I heard about a coming gasoline shortage on the news last night so I filled up while I was out. The clerks had been busy all morning but didn't know anything about a shortage which was supposedly caused by the govt. agency shutting down some refineries.

Drivers in the Greater Toronto Area may soon start encountering gas stations that have run out of fuel due to new restrictions that have been placed on a major pipeline.
The National Energy Board ordered Trans-Northern Pipelines Inc. to reduce the flow of oil throughout its pipeline system by 10 per cent in a ruling issued on Sept. 27.
In a news release explaining their decision, the NEB said that the order was made in response to a number of “pipeline releases and overpressure incidents that occurred in 2009 and 2010.” The NEB said that the order would remain in effect while Trans-Northern Pipelines Inc. “implements a longer term solution.”

OPEC is going to cut production to get the prices to go up.

That story was in the news as well. Apparently there is an oversupply of inventory.

Any excuse at all to help sagging profits.

Did the article read the pipeline carries gasoline from Montreal to Toronto? That could very well be Saudi oil refined in Montreal.

Apparently from what I read Trotsky fracking is causing earthquakes in places they never happened before.

The blame is being put on fracking.
