I've used them for years, however some types are better than others. I really don't have a problem except for the dog sliding into them. He disrupts the adhesive backing and they have to be replaced.
But are yours on carpet Swing or laminate or hardwood which I am sure works much better?

Take care,
Pat

If that is what I wanted to do, I would have done it. My question was about what I chose to do and who could help me with it.
Sorry Angora! You point was that you had a problem with carpet travel. The mention of carpeting triggered my disdain for using carpeting on floors. The problem being that it impossible to keep clean and can harbour all sorts of allergens.
I promise that I will try not to do so, in the future! signs139

Thanks everyone. Swing and Trotsky, I will try those pads. It might work - otherwise I think I'll just have to move the area rug to an uncarpeted area. I hate to do that because it fits so well where it is if it would just stop walking across the room.
Perhaps it would be possible to staple the carpet where it bunches up. It would depend on whether its a finished floor underneath or not!

Carpet on carpet IMO never works well, it will always move especially when the base carpet has underlay. We have a couple large area carpets on hardwood flooring, you need rubber fabric underlay to keep them from moving, but the underlay won't work with a carpet on carpet scenario. I think cats are to blame for a lot of the world's woes. laugh123

I think the world would be better off if cats were in charge. All animosities could be handled with purrs.
