Not sure where to put this! While at the mall on Thursday I decided to sit and rest for a few minutes. I was joined by another lady, as a women do, we began to chat! She and her D had been on a bus tour to Montana in the fall. She tripped and fell hitting her head on the sidewalk, which resulted in an ambulance trip and a night in hospital in Montana. The total bill was $14000.00, plus 24.00 for a Tylenol! Her insurance company paid the invoice, after trying to find a loop hole. She was on a waiting list for hip replacement, however no proof her hip actually caused the fall! It so annoys me that Insurance companies have full access to our medical records, should an injury result, this is an invasion of privacy IMO. |

Montana - maybe better to jump in the car and head for Alberta. About 40 years ago a cousin broke his leg while skiing in Colorado. He was a med student, insisted on going back to Alberta, a 24 hour drive. He drank a bottle of whisky to deal with the pain. No cost for the broken leg.

Fourteen grand for a night in the hospital. No wonder the US is screwed. Mrs. Heat twisted her knee yesterday and had an x-ray ($50 Canadian) here in the Yuctatan and consultation with father and son doctors, the son a sports medicine specialist ($40 Canadian) She said the care she got from the docs was much more thorough than you get in Canada. |

Swing, I'm sure an overnight was at least that. A few years ago a friend had kidney stone. One night was much more than that in Florida. I'm peeved that they can get our medical records and we can't. Folks that go to Yuma, etc save their dental care until they arrive in the south then they head to clinics in Mexico. Much better than Canada and much lower price. I had dental coverage while working, no longer. Edited by Shorty, Mar 5 2017, 01:07 PM.

A Dentist must come recommended, otherwise could experience some unfavourable outcomes. A friend had 4 implants done in P. Vallarta, 3 were fine, one was not. She had to have it re done here, the surgeon was annoyed and charged her excessively! She did get the other 3 done for less than half though. |
