It's heartbreaking to see how brain cancer is taking its toll on Dmitri Hvorostovsky.. It appears he has some facial paralysis, his voice has lost some strength along with he has bowed out future operatic performances. A friend of mine who belongs to an opera club and knows a friend of his told me he wears an arm brace these days because of a fall, she also said he has lost some use of his arm because of the brain tumor along with treatment.

How terrible for him.
Embarrassing to watch that Mozart duet. He should retire, for the sake of his own legacy.

I didn't find it so much as embarrassing but more profoundly sad.. Here he has been so magnificent for all these years to have suddenly been stricken with brain cancer losing the ability to do what he loved. I do think we will be seeing him less on the stage, that probably will be for the best for his health's sake.
I know it upsets me because I have/am such a fan of his.....
