I will not eat an over ripe banana, nor will I eat shrimp.

What's your food UN-fave?

I'm a garbage guts and will eat anything. I do dislike most if not all junk food, except in dire straights and even then I must be hungry and see no immediate alternative.

I thought I was the only one who hated over-ripe bananas.

Liver, gag.

Over easy eggs. Turns my stomach to see them.

The taste of string beans repulse me as well as the ubiquitous almost-raw broccoli (although I love it if properly cooked.) But usually after a Chinese restaurant order I add "Any vegetable EXCEPT broccoli" because they are stuck in that 1970's concept that people like raw vegetables.

Bananas...I cannot bear them when they are NOT fully ripe.

Over light (or over easy, or as I say "Eggs over") cooks the egg whites. It is "Sunny side UP" style that involves the slimy albumen.

I will eat almost anything, but draw the line at brains, lungs etc. And insects and snakes.

It’s the runny yellow that gets to me. Maybe that’s part of the reason I don’t go to a restaurant for breakfast.

Red licorice - Ex-husband ate that. I didn’t like it then and when somebody is eating it now, my stomach turns over.

Pears. Hated them canned, fresh or pretending to be apples.
Eggs that are not cooked thoroughly. Doubtful I would eat eggs Benedict even if solid.

Heatseeker, what about arachnids? (I had scorpion soup once)

I like my yokes runny for dunking my toast, but always have my eggs done over easy! Not too easy as slimy egg white turns me off!

My mother-in-law who was born and raised in Saskatchewan said that they used to chop up a tree stump in the winter and dig out the ants that were frozen in there. The frozen ants were claimed to be a delicacy.

Never eat pate. It's back in style , YUK. I hated the 70s when it was always the entree or starter. Can manage lambs fry with gusto.
Love runny egg yolks.

I've had chocolate covered ants, the chocolate made them taste good but the shells get caught in your teeth. Also had seasoned baby bees and fried grasshoppers, wouldn't recommend them to anyone. LOL. I think taste and food preferences change over time. I used to eat bananas and most citrus fruit, but haven't had a banana in over 20 yrs, nor an orange.. just don't like the smell or the taste anymore. The white of eggs has to be firm for me, but the yolk can either be liquid or firm.. I prefer over easy or boiled with the yolk not quite hard. I use to dislike most green veggies as a kid, but now I could make an entire meal out of raw broccoli, raw carrots, and zucchini along with a bit of ranch dressing as dip. Shrimp and lobster don't do a thing for me, and I haven't had either in years. This is especially true for lobster since they are bottom feeders and scavengers. After hearing that the remains of all 230 people aboard TWA flight 800 that exploded and crashed off the New England coast in 1996 were probably eaten by lobsters, I haven't had one since. grumpy.gif If you saw how they raise and treat veal calves, you wouldn't eat veal either... I don't, but then I don't eat cats or dogs (knowingly) but they are considered a delicacy in some countries.
