I could just imagine a suction cup handle popping free while hoisting myself half way up. The wave would likely swamp the bedroom and living room. (I weigh just under 230 so there would also be the risk of pullng off tiles.) Finding a stud in the bathtub would be a delight. laugh123 <I don't like the idea of drilling into the tiles for a permanent installation. My tiles are a bilious yellow<ugh> but at least not cracked.> Edited by Trotsky, May 18 2018, 02:55 AM.

Those suction cup handles are extremely strong. While hoisting yourself up on the side of the tub you are pushing down on them, not pulling on them. It's something to grip on. That's what I use and it works for me and even before a shower I make sure that I reinstall them so that the suction grip is working. I haven't had one pull off yet. But my baths are rare. I'm a shower guy. After a bath I have to take a shower. |
