I finally had this test done. Non emergency status means a long wait of over a year. lI was a bit concerned when my doctor's office called me the day after the test to come in. ohmy 03 The echo technologist had said it took 5 working days to get results. My doctor told me aside from one small harmless anomaly my valves were "heavy" whatever that means. Perhaps thickened.. He said my heart was healthy and it was just a part of aging. He caught me off guard and I forgot to ask for a copy of the test results. I will call and request one. I still get some symptoms of chest discomfort every few months but at least I know I can exercise safely. I think I've had all the tests now. Anyone know how to slow down this thickening ? Perhaps more exercise? My blood pressure was 123/72 which is fine. The echo tech told me how not so long ago this technology would show a growing baby as a dot of light in the womb. Now, she said, a single vein in the baby's brain can be studied. Amazing! Very interesting to see your own heart on a monitor. Edited by Olive Oil, Jun 24 2018, 05:34 AM.

I am due for my second colonoscopy. First was around 1995. I don't mind the probe at all, but that wretched concoction you must drink all day to flush clean is keeping me away. |

Not good, neither is the enema! Especially if you have to do it yourself! |
