When tuning up a computer, I'm always frustrated by the large number of processes running all the time. It takes a lot of time to track them all down and find out if the computer's owner wants a particular one or not. To deal with this more efficiently, I wrote a little program that lists the running processes complete with path names and makes it easy to copy them. Here are the ones that run on my computer:

C:\Program Files\Avira\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic\avgnt.exe
C:\Program Files\Avira\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic\avguard.exe
C:\Program Files\Avira\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic\sched.exe
C:\Program Files\Comodo\Firewall\CPF.exe
C:\Program Files\Comodo\Firewall\cmdagent.exe
C:\Projects\Misc\ListProcesses\ListProcesses.exe
C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfswctrl.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dns\bin\named.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe
\SystemRoot\System32\smss.exe

Notice that the path name pretty much tells what the process is for! No more looking them up on Google. You can download my little program if you want - go to http://www.softwarespirit.com/Freeware.htm and click "download process lister". It requires no installation - just run it and click the button to list your processes. If some of them look suspicious, post your list here for us to check out.
