Scroll down to see the complete list.
Tell us if you have had the pleasure of eating in any of them.

I was at # 8 Daniel in New York.

Rouge in Calgary was judged as the top Canadian restaurant as No. 60 on the list and Langdon Hall in Cambridge, Ontario was judged as No. 77 on the list. I have heard that Rouge is a superb dining experience but unfortunately I have not dined there.

Ive eaten at Langdon Hall and although it was good I wouldnt languish if I thought I could never eat there again.

The best restaurant Ive eaten at in years is in Guelph, called The Other Brother. The attention to quality and detail was exceptional.

It's good to see Canadian restaurants and chefs getting some recognition, but I'm unlikely to try either of them.

Liz thanks for posting that 2 Canadian Restaurants that got on the top 100 at least.

I am very surprised that with the Olympics and all that the Vancouver Restaurants did not get a showing.

http://govancouver.about.com/od/restaurantsdining/tp/Top-20-Hottest-Restaurants.htm

Places like The Blue Cafe in Vancouver are fantastic, another favorite of mine is Lupo's.

Chantey and I are heading to the coast next week. I want to try LaTerrazza, I've never been there.

I noticed on the top 50 that lots of New York Restaurants got in. I've not been to them, except for Daniel's. All the more reason for another trip to the Big Apple. I made a note of them all.

I wish someone from England would read this top 50 and comment on The British choices.

The Other Brother? That's interesting because, years ago, we ate at a wonderful restaurant in London called The Twin Brothers. I wonder if one of them died and now it is "The Other Brother"? 1r

January: Interesting list. I noticed the "original" restaurants (The Provence and Chez Michel's) is not on the list.

I haven't eaten in any of those on the list; but I have had superb meals in other establishments around the world. I have even had brilliant cuisine on a couple of British Troopships - the grouper I had on HMT Asturias will remain in my memory 'til Alzheimer's or death!!!!!

A great 'floating restaurant', IMHO: ps. The poster of this photo on the web, got the ID wrong - it IS the Asturias and not the Empire Fowey. I should know, since I have travelled on BOTH, and have a photo of both moored back to back on a bouy in Colombo harbour.

I don't think it's possible to know the 50 best restaurants around the world, unless you have eaten in all of them, --- and then it would just be a matter of opinion!! :)
