A friend sent this to me today, and she said she was bawling. Right now I am doing the same thing. We don't realize that not all animals are treated as lovingly as our cats and dogs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LqSHfkLvHk&feature=related Take care, Pat Edited to add that I just looked a little further on Youtube, and Edie has been adopted. Now I am smiling. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnGQEKgYiSs&feature=related Edited by goldengal, Nov 5 2010, 02:04 PM.

Our Pandora was literally minutes away from being euthanized when I literally grabbed her out of the arms of the vet tech who was taking her to the room where they were going to do it!! The SPCA staff told us she had been abused, was too sick to recover and couldn't possibly live for more than 6 months. That was in June, 1998. |

We all like when there is a happy ending. 038 Edie was one lucky pooch. When I lost my golden Duke 3 months after I moved to Mississauga, I wanted to rescue a dog, but my son in law was afraid we might get one with issues, and Louie, the Bernese Mountain Dog, was only 8 months then. We do have at least 3 people in our subdivision who have rescued dogs that have issues with other dogs, and they snap and snarl. Unfortunately, when she encounters dogs like that Savannah, the Leonberger, wants to go and see them, and almost pulled me off my feet in the spring and I had to let her go. Since I do not feel I can control her when something like that occurs, I no longer walk her which is a shame, but I am afraid of breaking a hip. Take care, Pat |

Wise decision Pat, although I know she misses her walks with you. |
