On top of all the malware, virus, and nasty things that can infiltrate your computer if you let your guard down, a good firewall is a must have defense. Do you have any holes that the bad guys can bore through ? Here is a site some of us have visited before, but it's best to check every month to make sure you don't' have weak areas that can make you susceptible to infection, along with running all your anti-malware programs. https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2

Click on proceed and then check all sevice ports, it should be all green. You can also check other vulnerabilities on the site.

How did you do ? as an example, I have attached a copy of my port results.

Thanks for the reminder, Fred! Mine appears to be in good order

ttempting connection to your computer. . .
Shields UP! is now attempting to contact the Hidden Internet Server within your PC. It is likely that no one has told you that your own personal computer may now be functioning as an Internet Server with neither your knowledge nor your permission. And that it may be serving up all or many of your personal files for reading, writing, modification and even deletion by anyone, anywhere, on the Internet!
Your Internet port 139 does not appear to exist!
One or more ports on this system are operating in FULL STEALTH MODE! Standard Internet behavior requires port connection attempts to be answered with a success or refusal response. Therefore, only an attempt to connect to a nonexistent computer results in no response of either kind. But YOUR computer has DELIBERATELY CHOSEN NOT TO RESPOND (that's very cool!) which represents advanced computer and port stealthing capabilities. A machine configured in this fashion is well hardened to Internet NetBIOS attack and intrusion.
Unable to connect with NetBIOS to your computer.
All attempts to get any information from your computer have FAILED. (This is very uncommon for a Windows networking-based PC.) Relative to vulnerabilities from Windows networking, this computer appears to be VERY SECURE since it is NOT exposing ANY of its internal NetBIOS networking protocol over the Internet.

 Excellent Wild Bill, I figure at the very least once a year we better see how we are doing against those who compete negatively against us honest folks. One of these days I'm going to reply to Mr. Ungabu from Nigeria (he emails me almost every day via spam) and set up a meeting to have coffee with him, he can buy. :cheerleader:

I'm using the Mac just now. The site didn't show any colors at all. No grid like you have in your jpg image either. I guess it doesn't work with Macs.
