Kirkland 3 cheese ravioli

Was happy to try my wife's new lasagna recipe with others over Easter and pronounced it the best she's ever made. Turns out, to ease prep over Easter, she used a bag of frozen 3 cheese ravioli from CostCo. Just add sauce and a bit more grated mozzarella and bake in casserole - it's a winner. :-)

We all know the taste is all in the sauce. Does the sauce come with the ravioli or is it sauce that your wife made?

When I saw "Kirkland" I thought "Isn't that the Costo brand" and so it is.

Does she just lay out the ravioli frozen and cover it with sauce and cheese? How long in the oven? 375?

Sounds right up my lazy alley.

I think she used a marinara by Barillo, Darcie. Normally, we prefer the arabiata but she thought it might be too spicy for some of our guests.

Not sure if she thawed it first, Trotsky. I will enquire.

My dd does one with ravioli and uses Italian sausage which she removes from the casing.
It is delish.

My last lasagna was made the old fashioned way precooking the big lasagna noodles and making a ragu (with ground beef and peppers and onions) and then assembling with ricotta mixed with egg and parsley and parmesan with a layer of wild mushrooms and a layer of browned sausage meat all repeated twice and baked.

It was sublime and everyone raved and in my heart of hearts I knew I would NEVER try it again...it was absolute SLAVERY to make and the kitchen afterwards looked like someone tested a tactical nuclear weapon.
