I like pillow cases to fit snug on the pillow but they make them so wide I always have to take a seam down them to get them to fit right. Why do I have to do alterations on the darn things? |

You need fluffier pillows. I can barely stuff most of my pillows into the cases but, some that are older and flatter sometimes slither out in the night. |

I must have bigger pillows because I always have to push my pillows into the case. |

Maybe there are king size pillows and I get the regular ones. When I buy double bed size sheets, I wouldn't expect the cases to be king size. I kind of like the less fluffy ones and use two - one on top of the other. |

There seems to be no regulations regarding the size of pillows and pillow cases. Of course they should not all be the same, especially in pillow sizes. However, when I bought queen size sheets, the last set came with pillow cases which I'm sure are of standard size because they are not long enough to cover the pillow properly. Maybe that is because I bought seconds! |

The ones I've bought have been fine for length but just too wide. |

All the sheet sets I buy, queen size, the pillow cases are always to narrow and some are very hard to stuff in. What brand of sheet do you buy that has such a wide width? |

My big "luxury" is 600 thread count sheets and pillow cases. For some reason, King size pillow cases for these sheets seem larger than king size pillow cases for lower thread count sheets. |

I just bought new 100% cotton, 300 thread count sheets but I washed them and threw out the case they came in so don't know what brand they were. Zellers has a half-price sale on bedding this week. The cases look wide and I'll try them on the pillows before taking them in. One flannelette set I bought had a huge top sheet and I had to rip about a foot off the width. The packers must have put a queen size top one in by mistake, though the bottom one fit perfectly. |

I dislike flannelette pillow cases (too warm on the head) so when I buy sheet sets I always open them up and sew them to the bottom of the top sheet so it is longer to fold over the comforter without coming untucked. |

I don't like the flannelette pillow cases either. What's that all about? They used to put cotton ones in with those sheet sets but I suppose it's cheaper to use the same material. Sheets coming untucked is fine with me as I don't like them tucked in. |

Remember the days when a pillow case was standard size? I bought some new cases recently and they are about a third too long and too narrow. All I want is as dammed pillow case. Fortunately Ginny chews them so I don't have to keep them forever. |

I do not like the flannel ones either. I still have a few old 100 % cotton ones that I took from my mil when she passed You konw the kind...they have crochet around the edge biggrin 04 |

I have one of the old ones with kittens embroidered on it and a few odd cotton ones for spares. I leave the sewing machine up for all these infernal alterations like pillowcases, pants, etc. |

Never noticed what a pillow case looks like on a pillow. I fall asleep so fast I'm not even sure there is a pillow on my side of the bed. I think I might notice if my wife put an open plastic bag on my side though. |
