I watch a program on television where the host visits Diners around the country that serve different foods such as huge sandwiches. He samples everything in the kitchen after they demonstrate the methods used to cook up the vittles. He never sits down to eat. Eats standing up and the portions that they serve are huge. A sandwich needs the jaws of a gorilla. He bends over with both hands on the sandwich and chops down on it. My own opinion but I can't stand huge portions where you can hardly get it in your mouth even though the food looks really fresh and appetizing. |

Guess everyone wants their own Trudashians

I watch that when I can, it's amazing. I'd love to find some of those places as the food looks delicious, go with someone and share, most places don't mind. |

Me too. But they would have to give me a knife and fork. I could never get my jaws around some of those three inch high sandwiches. |

Have not watched the show, but wonder if you are by any chance referring to Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. They are all over, and we have visited a couple in Arizona. One was Italian food which was fantastic, and the other was huge sandwiches. Take care, Pat |

This is our younger son's favorite TV show and in their travels he & our d-i-l have been to several that have been filmed. We find much of the food in these shows is glopped (DH's word) with too much sauce. I think you would have to sit on those thick sandwiches before you could get them into your mouth. He obviously only takes the one bite that is shown on TV because otherwise he would weigh four hundred pounds! |
