3/4 lbs roast beef (I use round) 1/2 cup beef broth 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar 1 envelope onion soup mix 1 chopped onion 1/2 tsp. garlic powder Salt & pepper to taste. Put roast in crock pot, mix other ingredients and pour over roast. Cook on Low overnight. Next morning mix ingredients and let simmer till lunch or dinner. Serve on Buns. The extras freeze very well. |

You pull the meat apart with a couple of forks and then put it on rolls to eat. There is also pulled pork and chicken. I like it with cole slaw and a cold beer. Edited by Darcie, Jun 2 2012, 02:06 PM.

Kahu, it refers to meat, usually pork, sometimes beef, that has been cooked long and slow to the point where it begins to fall apart. Then it is is pulled into shreds, with fingers or forks, and served up on bread or buns, often with coleslaw. |
