http://www.durgan.org/URL/?HBMYF 21 July 2012 A Real Meal A nourishing meal was prepared and consumed in about forty minutes. Most of the ingredients are from the garden, and purchased items were previously prepared, except for the mussels, which are one of my rare indulgences.Half the Walla Walla onion (no sting) and half the mussels were used. The only condiment was salted butter as a dip for flavouring the mussels. Annotated photographs depict the effort. |

The NZ mussels are about 500 times better than those farmed in PEI. They appear in the supermarkets for a while in the Spring and are very reasonably priced. I buy about a dozen packages and store them. I consider them a real treat. |
