I think it is safe to say that all parties will be very careful about the rules come next election.

You are so right. And no one is going to reveal who they are voting for to anyone before the election.

And no one will make any assumptions as to who the guilty party is.

Lots of people reveal their preference, with signs on the lawn and the like.

Campy - no one needed to make assumptions about this particular event because the Liberals admitted doing it right away.

Making assumptions has nothing whatsoever to do with this event.

I have no idea what you are trying to convey, the content of your post makes no sense at all.

That's another thing that should be made illegal.

No yard signs allowed by anyone.

Do you mean to say, it's the Liberals that are to blame for the robocalls ? Who would have thought ? What's the world coming to ? 102

No we can't accuse the Liberals of the robocalls being investigated in the current investigation.

Remember now it's "Innocent till proven guilty"

Now that we can see that all parties might be guilty of 'dirty tricks" to influence an election?

Why no yard signs?
Because it's giving away your preference of voting when it should be confidential information.

There's no reason why it should be confidential. We have the right to a secret vote, but we also have the right to voice our preferences.

Well then be prepared.

Anyone dumb enough to tell who they are voting for don't have any room for complaint if they get a robocall.

That's my opinion.

If you give away your preference you don't have a secret vote anymore.

Just read this in article critical of the Conservatives for keeping two different do not call lists.

Quote:

The CRTC recently hit the federal Liberal riding association in Guelph, Ont., with a $4,900 fine for robocalls that broke the rules during last year’s election campaign.

The CRTC said a recorded message that went out to voters on Apr. 30, 2011, violated telemarketing rules by failing to state that it came from the Liberal party or MP Frank Valeriote's campaign.

That CRTC fine pertained only to a breach of telemarketing rules and not to any possible violation of the Canada Elections Act.
