I went to a nameless Board that is priding itself in not having moderation and it is anything goes. That is fine, their decision, it attracts a certain type. But, when they start calling other forum owners names and denigrating other boards I get wondering about the people who bother to post there. Sort of tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are. I have just read the poster's BS and from the names I have to say I am not at surprised. Have decided I will never post there again, they are sick. Guess it takes all sorts to make a world, sure glad I am not in theirs. It used to be sane. |

I understand the motivation behind no moderating, no censorship, but I dont think it works well. |

Weird how that happened, I thought. I guess I just caught your last post there Darcie. Pretty funny. I don't look much but was wondering what you could possibly say there. How tres tres weird it all is. As the world turns........itself inside out. Perhaps a suicidal move on the part of the board as most of those unmoderated ones die, don't they? Am trying not to target anyone. I don't think we need to trash others here, either. |

So the board is nameless and Darci and Dana visit it and are offended. Nobody else knows the board or what went on. Who cares other than Darci and Dana ? Just PM each other and talk about it, I for one don't give a rat's. |

Now my curiosity is peaked about that forum. 017 017 017 I use a forum a lot called citi-data.com ...the NYC page. It is immense with and although moderated, very lightly so. More concern about staying on topic than somebody calling someone else an "ignorant slut-faced cretinous dimwit whose mother sleeps with the troops." 024 (New York teen-agers are a special breed.) It WORKS but one must be ready for liberal use of the IGNORE function and have the ability to just scroll away from the nonsense. I am the new boy on the block and have no idea what you are all gossiping about but in my opinion you seem no better as you are doing the same thing right here. Why not talk about this in private. I thought I found a nice forum here but I guess DW is right, they are all the same and you people (except for Dialtone and Campy) are no better than the ones you are pointing the finger at. Think about it. Not sure if I will stay here or not as I don't like gossip. |
