Mrs. Heat has invited a passel of her relatives, most of whom I like, but one that I can't abide, to stay for a few days.

So I am going to bugger off to Cuba tonight until they disappear.

Never been to Cuba, so it may be an experience.

Really wildie, I havent been. What's great about it?

I liked Havana and its old buildings dating back to the Spanish settlement. For a large city, I felt safe to wander about. It has hundreds of miles of beautiful beaches and hardly a soul on them. Its fairly large and has lots of places to explore.
Cubans by nature are a happy, friendly people and fun to socialize with.

They have automobiles dating from the 50s and its interesting to see cars from this era running up and down the street.

The downside was the dangerous rural roads. Potholes as big around as a garbage bin, And as deep!
I dropped the wheel of a brand new rental car in one of these and I thought that the front end would be ripped off!
Some Cubans approach you and ask if they can get to Canada, could they come and live in your house.
They think we all live in palaces.

Cubans are very family oriented and take good care of their children.

And if you need medical attention, excellent care is available and is not priced like it is in the US.
I always have wanted to tour Havana. But I thought they didn't encourage tourists to go and stay there. Also, I didn't know you could rent a car and drive around there. Tell me more wildie. 4_1_112
