I have bought Carr's poppy and sesame seed crackers for years and years. The recent package(s) I bought have an enormous amount of salt added to them! A horrible change that will prevent me from buying them again and giving what I have left to seagulls, if they will have them and warn family against them, now. tsk tsk.

If I could get through to the co. without it costing me money I might get an explanation of some kind- accidental salt spill?. Is a call to a 1-877 number long distance? Email to Carr's customer contact is for US residents ONLY.

I have bought those crackers for years and don't know what I will try instead.
I wondered what was wrong with the blue cheese the night before, it seeming saltier than usual and thought maybe it was my taste buds. Sometimes things seem saltier or not on one day or another. Having some old ones left I did a comparison and yes, the new ones are very much saltier.
Too bad, so sad. They were my faves.

Sometimes the crackers do seem to be a bit saltier, weird.

The last Triscuits I purchased were over the top salty and I'm someone who doesn't worry about salt. Strange.

Alright, reporting back. I had time today.
I did call the 1-877 and got thru to a human reasonably quickly so it wasn't too big a waste of time to be asked to wait........and no, Kellogg US does not do Canada's concerns.
A new number given for Kellogg Canada....."wait......your call is very important"......about 50 times.......................................... long enough to do a sink full of dishes except I didn't get quite all the cutlery done. I was beginning to doubt their sincerity! Hands were getting sore hanging on to the phone for so long. Had to keep switching - ouch.

Aha, a human! A problem today with their phones.

OK. After waiting all that time I am told by their rep that they do not make these crackers in Canada and there is nothing they can do for me except offer me coupons for some other kellogg product. As I do not buy much of their stuff, really I can't think of one (except who knew that Carr's were kellogg?) 017

So I got nowhere at all.
Alright, try the US# again. She's not sure what they can do for me. She has forwarded my concern and contact info......
I get her laughing and say how much I like the crackers (without the excess salt). laugh123
Good Bye.

So, it may not be over yet........

One has to be a dedicated consumer to get what one wants. I hope a little persistence will pay off in having edible crackers once more on the shelves at my local store.

*I kept hearing 'down there' ie) 'did I buy the crackers down here' and I kept saying up, we're up. biggrin 04
