I often see people sign up for membership on the forum and never post anything. If they can read all why on earth do they want to sign up? I am always skeptical about the intentions of all these new personalities, I often think they are one person who wants to be ready to create havoc whenever they want. Is there a reason why we keep these 'personalities' when they never post? |

Dana .. I was stalked for a full year when the stalker finally sent me a message. Well and good keeping the same name if there are no incidents but if there are any, then it is wise to change user names for different forums. However, using several names on the same forum is suspect as to why. To answer your question ... sometimes people join and forget to bookmark the site; others may forget their user name or password, especially if they have many & do not keep track,. Also others may be timid about emailing support for help or not realize they can do so. This is not uncommon. But then there are others that reserve several user names to use if and when they are banned - most of these are zero posts. We have recently sent out emails to the non active members .. many emails were returned due to false emails provided. That being the case, their membership is removed. Others have replied saying they forgot their passwords which were reset for them. |

Thanks Toodles, I am glad that some new members may find their way back. At least we have found who had legitimate emails and the others who did not have been deleted. I am a worrywart about stuff like that, better prepared and safe than sorry later on with a malicious person creating havoc with many personalities. |

Not to worry Darcie .. we can deal with a malicious person in many ways - also, the ban button is very efficient. :ciao: |

Wasn't worried, just curious as to what was behind it all. I just like to understand. |

Speaking for myself I don't see too many others posting other than the regular gang here. It's the same old members that carry the conversations and there are very few of them. I think people sign up and then don't find anything of interest. |

Toodles that is true however just check the list daily of who posted and it's the same old gang day after day. Rarely do I see a contribution from a new member who was welcomed with all the bells and whistles. |

People who need their strokes have multiple personalites on a forum; they need a couple of sock puppets to say, WTG, or I agree, or good post. I think these are being weeded out. |

I don't see any such thing on WWS. Can you point out to me what you are talking about. How about an example? As I stated before it's the same gang posting all the time. Edited by campy, Oct 15 2012, 12:01 PM.
