You also have to watch if the measuring utensil is US or Canadian, there is a difference. For instance: 8 fl ounces US equals 1.04 cups Canadian It matters a lot for some recipes and the problem is compounded if you use a Canadian spoon measurement and a us cup measurement. Unfortunately it is difficult to ascertain if you are buying measuring spoons or cups that are graduated as US or Canadian measures. Edited by Darcie, Mar 12 2014, 04:56 AM.
