I bought a 1.66 Liter of ice cream today at Shoppers. Kept it frozen. Opened it and took out a scoop and topped it with strawberries which I had cut up individually and some apple which I had cut up individually. When I took a spoonful it was lucky I didn't chew on it because that scoop was loaded with stones. I can still see stones in the rest of the ice cream. i only took one scoop out and I can touch them with a knife and they are there. On further examination, this is maple ice cream and the rocks are hard chunks of something like brown sugar pieces or solid maple sugar pieces. What should i do? I didn't damage my teeth but I could easily have done so. |

What is the name of the ice cream flavour ? My favourites are Maple Walnut or Praulines and Creme, (usually Bryers) they can be hard and have hard pieces but I've never broken a tooth. If I were you, I'd scoop out a bowl, let it thaw out a bit, then see how it is. Maybe it's Rocky Road, I've never had it but the name fits your description laugh123

Take it straight back to the store and get a refund! If you save others from broken teeth, the company might give you a lifetime supply of ice cream. (unless the hard things are walnuts) |

It's Bryers Maple Sugar. I took pictures of the lumps (they look like river rocks) and I am not taking it back. Huge chunks. Not little ones. There is a 1 800 number on the carton which I called. They told me to contact customer service on Monday. Fine by me. In the meantime I will go to Shoppers tomorrow and let them know what happened. If they want to they can take the Maple Sugar off the shelf to prevent a broken tooth. I just had one fixed and it cost me $200.00 and the dentist gave me a break because I don't have insurance.
