I am in the process of dealing with an auto incident claim-- I wouldn't call it an accident. My car just made contact with the rear of a car ahead at an intersection(I wasn't driving). No damage to either car- not even a mark. Two months later I get a law suit claim for $1 million saying the passenger had three spinal injuries and she cant do anything- no housework , cooking etc. I saw her attend an unrelated court hearing all day, every day for seven days . She was fit as a fiddle. I took pictures of her in action at the hearing and on the street outside. I provided the insurance company claims adjuster with these pictures assuming it would extinguish the claim if they confronted the plaitiff's lawyer with them. They wouldn't even use them. Said it might violate her 'reasonable expectation of privacy'. Go figure. What do detectives do? I think the claims gang want these procedures to go on as long as possible. More money for them and their lawyer buddies. I also suspect there are kickbacks involved as well. What a corrupt game. Any similar experiences?

Any witnesses to the fender bender Dogleg? Maybe place an ad in a local paper for witnesses to come forward. It would help.

There was never a dispute about it being a non-accident. A policeman happened to be at the spot, looked at the two cars and said there is no damage so forget it, however, a month or two later this woman decided to claim a neck and back injury. When her lawyer got my ins.co. involved I decided to take some pictures of her in action. She is perfectly fine. My issue is with the claims department . Instead of using the photos to extiguish the suit they prefer to keep it going. Take a good guess why. $$$ But try to change things and you hit a brick wall. And because of this fraudulent claim I get my rates doubled for three years. A corrupt system -but what else is new?
